The food is always good--we love the chicken with cashews and the Chinese chicken salad. The price is great. My husband and I can both eat dinner and lunch the next day for about $14.00. I like that it's a family-owned business, and they are always friendly and super quick.

I was going to Sallys with my besty to buy hair dye and I was starving and she told me about this place. It's really small with a few tables but I was going for take out anyways. They give A LOT of food for pretty cheap. i get one of the combos. Its really good, its hard to find a chinese food place that'll do combos rather than a la carte which can cost so much money. I've been back a few times, and I would go again!

If you want bang for your buck, this place is the place. The food is pretty good for chinese food and its cheap. The stuff the crap out of your togo box. I will come here if I want some quick chinese food. They will cook to order. The food usually comes out pretty fast.

Americanized Chinese food should belong on everybody's comfort food list. Well it sure is on mine! Nothing better then some tasty, cheap, and sometimes greasy Chinese food. Great when it's new, even better when reheated the next morning! This is Jade China's second location. I was pretty happy when this location opened up a couple years ago since the first spot off of Berryessa is a little far away.Pretty much every entree is under $8 and the combo boxes can easily make out to be two meals or shared with another person. My favorites include:-Salt & Pepper Spare Ribs-Beef Chow Fun-Honey Walnut Shrimp-Salt & Pepper Calamari-Fried Chicken WingsYou can see that I like to indulge in deep fried delicacies! Not as good as King Egg Roll, but they make great party trays that are extremely cheap. The small Chicken Chow Mein party tray is under $20 and it's HUGE. So great idea for those who often have potlucks at work.Again, don't expect any fine dining experience. If you wanted high end restaurant quality food, that's where you should go. But as far as a typical cheap "3 item box" take out type place, Jade China fulfills that role quite well. if you don't want to spend too much, this is your spot!

I don't think there's anything better than cheap Chinese food. No I mean the price, not the quality. The food here is awesome, trust me.If you ever feel the need to go to Panda Express again.... well just don't.Not only does Jade China cost less, they give you more. It probably won't give you health problems within the next year or so too.I really like their service, it's SUPER fast and extremely friendly. I go here often. They close at 9 PM, but one time we called in a order at around 8:40-8:50 PM, and they took it! They were also incredibly nice when we went to go pick up our order! ;DTheir menu is also HUGE. Most people only look at the board and the 3-combo special, but they actually have a lot of other things that are definitely worth trying out.I love this place because I always know what to expect, and that's great :D

3 item combo please. Total with tax? $5.70.Now I know a lot of folks weren't a fan of Mr. Chau's, but if you remember their portions, oh man, it's a huge amount to just feed one person. No worries, Jade China has some awesome ass flavors.Always down for their chicken chow mein, it always has some huge pieces of soft chicken in there. Very tender and never overcooked. Fried chicken wings, they're a tad on the tiny side, but 6-7 pieces of them, I still have some leftovers. Sweet and sour pork, I like to ask for sauce on the side because it doesn't get coated evenly on the to-go plate and it makes all the bottom pieces soggy in sauce if I have leftovers. I mean I usually do, so I learned to ask for sauce on the side please! :)Their 'small' chicken salad? Enough to feed 2-3 people. Huge portions of salad and it's $2.50 for a 'small' :)Beef Broccoli, unlike other chinese food places, it actually has an abundant amount of beef to broccoli ratio! :) And it's tasty tasty!-- restrooms require a key, it's not that clean inside, but it doesn't smell bad -_-

This is our go to place for Chinese take out. The prices are very reasonable and the food is very tasty. The staff are always nice and I LOVE that they take ATM because I never carry cash. The kitchen is visible from where you order and it always looks clean and well organized.I usually get the same things - and they are always very good. Some places leave gristle on their meat but after eating probably hundreds of meals here, I have to say I have only ever found a tiny bit of gristle twice in my Beef and Broccoli and BBQ pork slices. It wasn't a lot either. I'm picky about that stuff that's why I remember.Service is usually very quick but if you are especially in a hurry just call ahead.

Not to mention the portions are ridiculously generous. Next time I go I will be sharing a plate. (this is how big the plate is) Very flavorful & loved the Chinese chicken salad & egg rolls! I've always been a fan of Chinese food. So anywhere I go, I'm always willing to try out new Chinese restaurants.I was in San Jose for the day for a friend's graduation from SJSU. After her graduation, I was beat and just wanted to eat something quick before heading back up north for home. My boyfriend ordered food from next door and I opted to try Jade China, since I saw their special $4.95 sign out front. After walking in, I noticed a group of men occupying the three or four tables to the left of me, along with several other men scattered in the dining area and in line right in front of me. After placing my order, I walked back to my car to wait for my food. After several minutes, I walked back in to pick up my order. By then, I had that feeling that I should probably go #1 before hitting the road so I asked for their bathroom key. The bathroom wasn't well kept. I'll just leave it at that. After doing my business and then washing my hands, I picked up my food and ate in my car. I took several bites of my BBQ pork fried rice, broccoli beef, and was done. It could have been a combination of me being dead tired from the night before or the food lacking some much needed sriracha. Either way, I didn't finish my food right then and there. However, my boyfriend did chow down on my leftovers. He mentioned the egg roll was good, but everything else was just OK.If I'm ever again in the San Jose area, I doubt I'll return to eat at this establishment.

First time here, I heard it from my coworker & I must say, I am a huge fan of Golden Buddha on Aborn Rd. But since I recently moved to a new area my fave place is just way bit to far, so I came to Jade China & I am def coming back. The Walnut shrimp is to die for.....Huge portions...I ordered 3 plates & I think I still have food for the next few days.....I ordered all shrimp plates since its Lent and no meat on Fridays, well usually you would pay a whole lot more for shrimp plates but my bill was only 22.00 & I got Shrimp Chow Mein, Shrimp Fried Rice & Walnut shrimp with a side of Steam rice. The shrimp were a good size & taste fresh.....I do highly recommend this new found hole in the wall =)

3 item combo under $5 and comes with very large portions, can't go wrong there. The service is friendly and the food is really good. I also have their number saved in my phone. Minus 1 star because when I call in my order its never ready on time, but I can't complain too much considering the food is always fresh.

One star for the decent prices, one star for the huge portions (they hella hook it up here), and the last star for making the food when ordered (the food is not sitting under hot lamps). This Chinese to go food restaurant is pretty clean.I ordered the salt and pepper spareribs (the pork was a little tough to bite and chew) and honey walnut prawns (the creamy sauce was lacking something).I was disappointed that the food tasted pretty decent when I first got it, but that changed after I microwaved my leftovers.

I came here yesterday and have to downgrade my review. I came in around 12:30pm for lunch and was very surprised that the place was completely empty. This place used to be packed during lunch that it was hard to find a table sometimes.I decided to get the three item combo and wanted to substitute the eggplant garlic dish for one of the items, since that was the special of they day, but the cashier would not let me. In fact he was quite rude. I was also surprised that the special of the day did not come with any steamed rice, you have to purchase that in addition. So I ended up getting fried rice, with sweet and sour pork and mixed vegetables. I totally forgot that they overbatter and fry their sweet and sour pork. The batter was at least half a centimeter thick and I couldn't get my plastic fork into it to pick it up to eat, so I finally went up to the counter and asked them for some chopsticks. They did give me a ton of the fried rice, but I felt the rice to item ratio was off. I ended up with half my rice left over and no side items to eat it with.I don't know if this place is under new management or what. But they used to be really friendly and nice. Guess I won't be coming back here again any time soon.

After reading some of the reviews, I thought I would give this place a try. The only good thing I can say was that they gave a very large portion for the fried rice. But I really can't recommend this place. I ordered the 3 item combination dish and saw that it was very limited in the selection, and several of the selections were criticized by the earlier reviews, so I tried egg-roll, sweet and sour pork, and fried rice. Though the fried rice was in large portion, it was overly sticky and just ordinary. And I don't think the cook knows what is sweet and sour pork. What I got tasted mostly hard fried batter and very little meat. I've never seen or heard of sweet and sour pork being so hard.I don't think I will be going back to this place again.
